Popular alcoholic beverage, Adonko Bitters, produced in Ghana by Adonko Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Angel Group of Companies, has been adjudged the Best Herbal Alcoholic Bitters in the country at the 2019 Ghana Business Standard Awards ceremony.
The event which was held at the Movenpic Hotel saw the drink emerging the most valuable and patronised product amongst similar products on the Ghanaian market.
Adonko Bitters over the years, has remained the top award-winning bitters with several coveted awards to its credit.
In March this year, Adonko bitters won the Top Brands Eminence Awards for 2018 at the Pan African Republic Honorary Awards 2019 held at the Accra International Conference AICC.
Adonko Company Ltd is also the proud producer of Adonko Atadwe Ginger and Adonko 123 plant based alcoholic beverages which are gaining grounds on local and international markets.
It would be recalled that at the Ghana Trade and Commerce Awards held February, Dr Kwaku Oteng who is the President of Angel Group of Companies was the only person out of six awardees who received the lifetime award for his commitment to job creation, Ghanaian entrepreneurship and exemplary contribution to the evolution of trade in Ghana. The award was conferred on him by a group of experts after a thorough due diligence and verification.
The Ghana Trade and Commerce Awards brochure noted that Dr Oteng made his mark in Ghana in 2001 with the establishment of Angel Herbal Products Industry which began a transformational journey for Ghana’s Herbal medicine terrain, noting the significant contribution Dr. Oteng has made to economic growth of Ghana over the past 18 years.
